Photo-weavings (Woven Photographs) are entirely handmade, original works, one of a kind, and made to order. I start by shooting traditional 35mm film, develop, print, slice, assemble, weave, and frame every image by hand.
The shadow box frames are handcrafted in my studio. These type of frames really show off the images very dimensional qualities. The frame and image together really stand out! Top notch framing glass is used. I seal the back of the frame with a dust cover and attach all necessary wire and hardware so the art is ready to hang. I offer two types of frames for customers to choose from. The first is a classy smooth pine as seen in the photos. This frame is stained and sealed. The other style of frame I offer is a rustic lath frame. These frames are made of wood salvaged from New Orleans homes and add a nostalgic and charming feel.
Any image from my website can be commissioned into a woven photograph. Send me a private message, or email email@example.com.
Please allow 1-2 week handling time on Woven Images, as they are entirely handcrafted.

I have always been fascinated with the mechanics of cameras, their operation, and their ability to render still images. I dabbled with photography in high school but during that time music was my main creative focus. In adulthood I would revisit the practice of photography and creatively switch my focus from music as my interest in photography grew into something greater.
I deem myself more an artist than that of a traditional photographer and have always been interested in alternative image making processes. Experimental photographic practices such as double exposures, shooting with expired film, & hand tinted photographs have all inspired and interested me. I weave photographs from strips, make picture frames from slabs of wood, and take pride in the craftsmanship of my work. The art I create going forward will borrow from the past, be reminiscent of today, and become artworks that are a unique combination of the two.
My work has been shown on numerous photography blogs, featured in "The French Quarterly", have pieces on display at "The Catahoula Hotel", have showcased at Royal House Gallery at 813 Royal St. in the French Quarter, & have work in numerous private collections around the world.
