I am moved to compose shapes and spaces by feeling. What drives my art is the indeterminacy of meaning in visual language in which meaning is given by interpretation, so that meaning becomes personal, emotional. As an artist, I am honed and sharpened by uncertainty and my art reflects both the joy and discomfort inherent to a habitual refusal of what is stable and rejection of what is sure.

What do you love the most about creating art in New Orleans? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work? It's never a dull day in New Orleans. Some part of the city is always alive and enchanting. The sensory overload of a second line, Mardi Gras, or random festival keeps my imagination active. The Oak trees, street cars, and the smell of the Garden District have always been my favorite.
Where do you draw inspiration? I draw my inspiration from daily morning sketches and images in fashion magazines/ art books,
Who are your artistic influences or gurus? So many! I love Picasso, Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Joan Miro, Joan Mitchell, Henri Matisse, blah blah blah. This list could go on forever.
In New Orleans, art and music go hand in hand. What type of music, band or song lyric best describes your work? The art I create is about feeling. Music is always on in the studio while I'm creating. I have an affinity for rap music, classical music, jazz, rock\pop anything that feels right at the time.
Where can we find you when you are not creating art? I spend my time trying a new restaurant or dining at an old favorite. I won't name it on here because...
