I’m just an easy-going guy born and raised in New Orleans and introduced to the art scene in 2007 after a sports injury left me bedridden. My new-found love for painting, combined with my work ethic, unexpectedly excelled my art career at lightening speeds. In the past year alone, I released 5 different series of paintings, totaling 603 original pieces! I literally went crazy painting! But crazy in a good way! Select originals of my work have been featured at The Liss Gallery-Toronto (2015), CJ Nero Gallery-New Orleans (2016), Art Basel-Miami (2017), Art Madness NOLA (2018), while others hold permanent residencies at Who Dat Café (NOLA), Second Line Arts and Antiques (NOLA), Rebellion Bar & Urban Kitchen (NOLA), Aloft Downtown Hotel (NOLA), and Studio A Global (Washington, D.C.). I’m always excited about my next moves, the people I will meet and the art that will be created. The universe has been so good to me, man, and my art is my “Thank You” gift I give to it!

Describe your art in three words. -Pop, Vibrant, Iconic
Describe yourself in one word. -Spaghetti
What do you love the most about creating art in New Orleans? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work? -New Orleans has so many opportunities for the creative mind. What I love most is being able to surround myself with other creative minds so easily. Creative people are everywhere in NOLA. -I love being able to be an example to kids in my community, by showing them that being an artist can be a real career and not solely some side gig!
Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece? -NOPE! Just any combination of good music, art supplies and my son!
Where do you draw inspiration? -From EVERYTHING! Everyday activities, music, movies, people, books, etc. There's always a reason to paint! Every emotion is "paintable"!
Who are your artistic influences or gurus? -Keith Eccles, my high school art teacher. He has been a major influence in my career. Keith taught me that being an artist can be a CAREER.
In New Orleans, art and music go hand in hand. What type of music, band or song lyric best describes your work? -It's totally depending on the piece.
Where can we find you when you are not creating art? -Hanging out with my son!
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? My favorite time of the day is 3AM, At that hour it's only me and my canvas awake. My favorite day of the week is Mondays because I don't have to hate them anymore! My favorite month of the year is October. I'm not sure if it's the great change in weather, but I can feel my creative energy shift during this time of year.
What is something people don’t know about you? A fun fact. Rollerblading makes me smile! :)
