Renditions of the Last Supper are nothing new but I've wanted to do one with iconic New Orleans musicians for a while. I just couldn't decide on the setting. I finally had an epiphany! I decided that the last supper should be a iconic Louisiana seafood we all love and local beer; crawfish and Dixie Beer, in a back room somewhere down in the Bayou, under the light of neon bulbs. And I threw in a Texas Longhorn for no reason other than it seemed to fit on the paneled wall. James Booker, Al Hirt, Louis Armstrong, Buddy Bolden, Jelly Roll Morton, Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Danny Barker, Pete Fountain, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Ernie K-Doe. Part of my "Gospel According to New Orleans" series.
