My artwork reflects New Orleans’ rich Heritage of African and Caribbean cultures. I began K. Elder Art, LLC through the inspiration and artistic influence of my father. As a child, I watched my father use various mediums to create intricate visual art. Because of his unique ability, it taught me how to take risks in artistic self-expression. My artistic technique and process include the use of acrylic paint on canvas or rag paper. My signature lines create unique images depicting the essence of the human spirit. Faces fascinate me, and this is reflected in my pieces. Some pieces may resemble your characteristics, while others are more abstract. I use vivid colors to depict each piece's unique message.
