I am a native of New Orleans. I studied studio art at the University of Texas at Austin were I earned a BA in Fine Arts (Studio Art) and a BA in Liberal Arts (French). I have more than 25 years of experience as a visual art educator in local parochial, private and public schools in New Orleans, where I was also involved in visual art curriculum development. I recently "reitred" from full-time teaching and as Director of the Visual Arts Program at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. This year, I will be pursuing a MLA Degree from Tulane University and recently completed Certification in Non-Profit Management from the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently the Art Teacher at the New Orleans Museum of Art , where I also serve on the Educational Advisory Board . I am a guest artist with YAYA, Inc., working with teenage YAYA Artists at the Studio and continue to serve on the Board of Directors of YAYA, Inc. as Chair of the Studio and Programs Committee. In addition to being a visual arts educator, I have continued to pursue my own art and exhibit locally.UPTOWN
