I found New Orleans in 2006 and stayed. Originally, I studied painting and drawing at Indiana University Herron School of Art. In the early 90's I found my way to Orlando where I created and sold my work. I paint with layers and depth to create an immersive experience personal to each viewer.

Describe your art in three words. Abstract, Movement, Colorful.
Describe yourself in one word. Eclectic
What do you love the most about creating art in New Orleans? What particular part of your immediate environment, in your neighborhood specifically influences your work? I love New Orleans architecture. The colors and shapes of the old and new.
Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece? I start with a clean canvas and black paint. I then look beyond these beginning marks and layer in color.
Where do you draw inspiration? Everywhere around me.
Who are your artistic influences or gurus? A few of my creative influences are Helen Frankenthaler, Georgia O'keefe, William de Kooning, Bob Dylan and Frida Kahlo.
In New Orleans, art and music go hand in hand. What type of music, band or song lyric best describes your work? Lately I'm listening to Baliwood or classic sitar while I paint. This changes with my mood.
Where can we find you when you are not creating art? With my family. We spend most of our time cooking together and we love walking though the swampy forest at Jean Lafitte Park.
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? I love Summertime. With the kids home we have freedom to explore together.
