I was born and raised in Chattanooga Tennessee. After graduating high school, I attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where I graduated with a B.S. in Biology. Fast forward to 2012 when I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana I began working in public health to spread awareness on various health issues. With a background in public-health and art, I aim to bridge the gap between art and public health. As an artist, I focus on my surrounding environment and the issues people face in that environment. The subject matter of my art ranges from the external natural environment to one’s own internal environment, which includes topics such as African-American history, health, and the idea of home. My art is aimed at creating questions and narratives in the minds of the viewer.

**What do you love the most about creating art in New Orleans? I love the creative energy in the air. If I ever hit a creative snag, I'll go for a walk and New Orleans provides.
Describe your creative process. Are there any rituals or rites of passage you exercise before you begin a new piece? I sit in meetings and doodle. It actually helps me focus in the meeting. I take my doodles and create larger painted versions of them.
Where do you draw inspiration? Silence. History. Nature. Science.
Who are your artistic influences or gurus? Sammie Nicely, Bob Ross, Ernie Barnes, Bill Sienkiwicz
In New Orleans, art and music go hand in hand. What type of music, band or song lyric best describes your work? It's somewhere on the spectrum between jazz and rap.
Where can we find you when you are not creating art? At work. Fixing things with my friends, eating. Actually I'm always creating in one way or another.
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? I love the fall morning and nights.
What is something people don’t know about you? A fun fact. I'm a Disease Intervention Specialist for the Office of Public Health in Louisiana.
